Alpine A610 - Price Guide (Last Revision Feb 09)

Please note: Values given below are for RHD cars. LHD values are considerably higher (50%-100%) due to easy repatriation.

Facts:

A610's are generally worth more than all other GTA variants except the Le Mans and genuine concours examples.

A610's are harder to value than GTA's. There are very few in the country (only 67 RHD cars) and most are owned by enthusiasts who may have paid a premium for them when they were new or nearly new.

Early cars may have serious sill/chassis corrosion. Expert inspection advised.

Figures:

Up to £6000             Accident damaged cars or restoration projects but as far as we know they have now all been repaired or restored.

£6000 - £8000         Average condition cars with some MOT, useable but possibly requiring some mechanical attention or paintwork

£8000 - £10000       Good useable cars with recent MOT, requiring little or no immediate maintenance.

£10000 - £12000     Very good cars with new MOT. No major mechanical or noticeable cosmetic faults.

£12000 +                  The very best ultra low mileage or restored examples. Concours condition cars.

'Black Book' or Guide Prices:

Useful to gauge market value for part exchange and insurance claims.

Cost New Manufacturer's list price when new, including VAT and taxes where appropriate.

Franchised Dealer Typical price paid at a franchised dealer for a car in a 'Used Approved' scheme. Lower than the 'sticker price' on the screen because we've allowed for sensible haggling.

Independent Dealer Typical price paid for the car at an independent dealer or car supermarket. Prices are slightly lower than main dealers because you don't get all the 'Used Approved' benefits.

Private Good Typical private sale value of a car in good condition with full MOT and service history, needing no work.

Private Poor Typical private sale value of a car in below-average condition, which cannot be restored to clean condition. May have mechanical defects or no service history; body may be rusty or have substantial damage; interior may be stained or torn.

Part Exchange The typical 'bottom-book' price that a dealer offers for your car in part-exchange. The actual value can vary from deal to deal, depending on the price and desirability of your car, but this is a good indication of what to expect.
