Renault 5 Turbo - Price Guide (Last Revision December '12)
The mid engined development of the 5 Alpine not to be confused with the later GT Turbo.
Facts:
These are rare in the UK and are all left hand drive apart from a handful of aftermarket or private conversions. There are no RHD factory cars.
Prices have continued to rise steadily of the last few years due to the interest in Group B Rally Cars.
RHD conversions are generally much worth less as they cannot be easily repatriated without restoring to LHD.
The original Turbo (often referred to as the Turbo 1) is generally worth more than the Turbo 2.
Figures:
£8000 - £10000 A project car for complete restoration. Probably incomplete. Hardly ever available.
£10000 - £12000 Poor to Fair condition for part restoration. Usually with no MOT. Hardly ever available.
£12000 - £15000 Fair to Average condition cars with some MOT, possibly useable but probably requiring some mechanical attention and/or paintwork
£15000 - £20000 Good useable cars with recent MOT, requiring little or no immediate maintenance but probably requiring some cosmetic attention.
£20000 - £25000 Very good cars with new MOT. No major mechanical or noticeable cosmetic faults.
£25000 - £30000 The very best ultra low mileage or restored examples. Concours condition cars
As with the A110, Ex works or competition cars can attract huge premiums
