I bought my GTA in October '04. It was traded in to us against an Aston Martin DB7, so the man that owned it before had loved it (maybe even as much as I do!). It was in reasonable condition when I bought it, excepting the leak in the LHS radiator pipe and the sticky wastegate. Since getting the car I've done about 5-600 miles (not many I know, but I've been doing bits and pieces to the car.) I've just ordered a new set of Azev A's off THE Gentleman (David to those in the know!) and I'm still paying for them! I have also done a bit of tidying to the car, flushed the radiator, changed the oil etc. I also have plans to do some engine modifications. I currently have a custom stainless exhaust, and have bought a new set of bigger injectors (just waiting on DG's new ECU and an adjustable fuel regulator before I can fit them). Other planned mods include a hybrid turbo and possibly (depending on cost) a ceramic clutch. I'm also planning to fit a new aftermarket stereo, speakers and amplifiers. Since owning the car I have had loads of puzzled looks from the general public, and a few appreciative looks from those in the know. Without a doubt this is the best car I've ever owned!! It can be a handful in the wet, but that's part of the appeal!

This is where I am at the moment with the car, slow but steady work and it should be out for the new season.

Look out peterg, we are coming for you!!

Here are some pictures of my 1988 black GTA turbo. It has 43k and a black leather interior. I have owned it for about 1 year and have just carried out some minor maintenance!!! i.e. engine out for a new clutch, set tappets, some water pipes, clutch slave and master cylinders, new discs all round, calipers overhauled, green stuff front pads, lowering springs, repainted under the wheel arches and new rear bumper decals!

It is a totally different car to drive from the white car, great high speed pick up!

This is my 1988 GTA V6 atmo. It has 77k miles on the clock. I found it in the summer of 2002 in a horrible state. It had been standing outside for about 7yrs!! Time had not been kind to it, but I thought that it looked cool. I had never seen or driven one before, but decided that I had to have it, so after a long time I tracked the owner down and we made a deal. That was the start of 4mths of flat out work! I carried out a lot of repairs as everything was seized, broken or not working. I have been to Scotland twice and Silverstone once and all over Ireland and it has never not got me home! There have been a few hiccups, but then I was expecting this. I really enjoy driving and working on the car. It sounds fantastic with a custom made exhaust, and I enjoy watching other peoples reactions! I will post pics of my other Alpines soon. 1 GTA turbo and 1 GTA hillclimb car! I guess I've got the Alpine bug bad!!!

Hi, I'm in  Northern Ireland and I have owned the car for about 4 years. It's bog standard except for an after market boost gauge, 100+ alloys, rear bumper spoiler and side skirts. Interior is grey leather. I think somebody has dyed it but it looks ok, better than the original beige colour. The car also has a stainless steel exhaust fitted, A610 rear badge and custom side window graphics.
