Gear choice is irrelevant. The D does not put as much heat or stress into the system .

Gear selection into reverse is absolutely relevant because it's the only gear that isn't synchro'd. The synchro will take up the "drag" of a clutch that isn't disengaging properly in any of the forward gears.

Well then if you've had to replace them what you on about :?:

He said he sees no evidence of the slave cylinder leaking. Ispo Facto in my experience the slave ain't the problem. (the fluid in it might be, has it been bled recenelty?)

It isn't relevant to the extra heat that the turbo puts in is what I was saying .
He can't get it in to any gears when it is hot not just reverse .
Read the whole thread ....new fluid etc ....

So.... it's heat-related not slave cylinder related..... is what I'm sayin

Not trying to argue, and I dind;t go back and read the thread (again)

FWIW my 610 go a new clutch, master and slave in the end...

I'm not arguing either ....Heat is the killer .
I just think that as the car is in a load of bits and Brad has all the parts to refurb the cylinder then that can't hurt .
It's character building if nothing else :D
