Renault Spider - Price Guide (Last Revision Feb 09)

Please note: Values given below are for RHD cars. LHD values are considerably higher (50%-100%) due to easy repatriation.

Facts:

All Spiders are generally low mileage often less than 15000 miles.

There is nothing available for less than £10000 other than the occasional damaged or incomplete vehicle.

Please note that convertible values are generally lower in winter and peak in summer.

Cars with all accessories present will generally attract higher values. i.e. Tonneau, Shower hood (or aftermarket roof), Document Case, Cover.

Most Spiders were built around the same time 96/97. Later registrations are often due to a car sitting in a showroom rather than a later build. Values are based on build date rather than DVLA registration date.

Figures:

Upto £10000           High mileage part exchange, accident damaged or repossessed vehicles.

£10000 - £11000   Average condition cars with some MOT, useable but possibly requiring some mechanical attention or paintwork

£11000 - £12000   Good useable cars with recent MOT, requiring little or no immediate maintenance but probably requiring some cosmetic attention.

£12000 - £14000   Very good cars with new MOT. No major mechanical or noticeable cosmetic faults. ** The majority of recent sales fall in this category. **

£14000+                  The very best ultra low mileage examples. Concours condition cars.

You will often see cars advertised by 'specialists' at higher prices as much as £16000 - £20000. These are often advertised for long periods exceeding a year or more.

Competition cars (Cup or Trophy) are generally available from around £10000 - £16000 depending on condition. They are all LHD. 

Recent 'Black Book' or Guide Prices:

Useful to gauge market value for part exchange and insurance claims.

FEBRUARY 2009 PARKERS

First column is considered average mileage but in practice is unrealistic for the type of vehicle.

There is no further mileage adjustment below 20,000 miles except for 99/S where an additional maximum adjustment of + 540 is allowable.

Parkers also list values for 99/T but we are not aware of any vehicles with this registration letter so the values are not listed.
