Renault 5 Turbo 2
Rare opportunity to purchase one of these mid
engined turbo 5's.
Registered September 1984. Only 2 previous owners
from new. Titled first owner.
Extensive service history with original purchase
order, service book and handbook.
Many thousands spent with all invoices from new
included in a thick file.
The car was originally 721 red metallic but is
now black. The under bonnet area is still in the original colour and the
original colour code is present.
It would be easy to return to the original
colour.
The car has been restored previously and
photographs are available but rust is now visible in the usual places and
ideally the car needs restoring again.
There are rust blisters where the extended wings
meet the body and where the pillars meet the roof. The front floor pan is also
rusty and needs replacing.
The car starts, runs and drives but has no MOT
and no TAX so really should be trailered away.
The engine can be heard running and sounds superb
with the fitted Devil exhaust.
The car is on its original metric wheels with all
good tyres.
The car is fitted with Turbo 1 seats which are
much more comfortable and stylish than the standard late seats.
Unfortunately someone tried to steal the car
recently and as a result the wiring around the ignition barrel needs attention.
There is also some damage to the rear edge of the drivers soor where someone has
tried to lever it open.
However the car comes complete with two spare
doors and many other spares including two Turbo 1 door cards (no speaker holes),
radio pod, a spare lockset including ignition barrel, fog lamp lenses and
reflectors.
Any questions just ask.

1983 (A) 45,000 miles. MOT Sep 2006.
This is a proper factory built, mid engined, rear
wheel drive, 1.4 litre fuel injected group B car. This is not the usual front
engined ,front wheel drive model . This car has been owned by me for 10 years in
which time it has been extensively improved over standard. It has a rebuilt
engine, rebuilt gearbox, devil exhaust, pace intercooler, remote oil filter,
leda adjustable shocks, 7x15 and 10x15 Gotti split rim wheels, 4x Willwood 4 pot
calipers, 4x alloy bells fitted with the biggest brake discs that can fit inside
the wheels, braided hoses, Turbo Technics T3 Turbo charger, flowed cylinder
head, uprated boost to 15psi and much more. The body has never been welded and
is in mint condition with all original panels and build stickers on it. This
means there are no unsightly plates and patches welded all over it as you
normally get with these cars. This car is easy one of the best examples left in
the world today, it is not cheap but it is an awesome sight on the road and you
will not get a better one. These cars are very very expensive to restore and
modify, so bear that in mind when you see standard ropey examples for sale at
£6000. The wheels, tyres, brakes and clutch on this car cost £6000 alone!!!!
