Le Premier ministre François Fillon a fait part de sa "tristesse" à l'annonce de la mort de Jean Rédelé, ex-pilote automobile et créateur d'Alpine, décédé vendredi à son domicile parisien à l'âge de 85 ans, en saluant la mémoire "d'un grand nom du sport automobile français."

Pour François Fillon, Jean Rédelé "marqua l'histoire de ce sport des années cinquante aux années quatre-vingts."

"En créant l'Alpine, voiture qui, associée à Renault, s'est illustrée sur les rallyes, cet industriel talentueux a écrit les plus belles pages de l'épopée de la compétition automobile française", a ajouté le Premier ministre.

The driver Jean Rédélé is dead

The French Prime Minister Francois Fillon expressed his “sadness” following the death of Jean Rédelé on Friday at his Parisian residence aged 85 years. The ex-racing driver and creator of Alpine will remembered “as a great name of French motor sport.”

For Francois Fillon, Jean Rédélé “marked the history of this sport from the Fifties to the Eighties.”

“By creating the Alpine, the car which associated with Renault and illustrated in rallying, this talented industrialist wrote the most beautiful pages in the epic story of French motor sport”, added the Prime Minister.

International Gordini Revival 2007

Renault Heritage have just announced details of a 'Gentlemans' race series exclusively for the R8 Gordini.

Three of the four meetings will take place during the World Series by Renault at Zolder, Nurburgring and Magny Cours!

The final will take place at Loheac.
