Engine illumination lamp

Postby pgoldsmith » Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:43 pm

Can someone advise what will illuminate the engine management lamp (the one with the squiggly line). Is it just the ECU or do other sensors feed into this ?

Main culprit likely to be the temp sender (not the one to the dash). Give it a wiggle.

You can buy them now from Simon Autos but they're quite expensive, can't remember how much but 70 quid or so perhaps???

I think you can fit a normal Renault one, but you'd need an adapter for the water pump fitting.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Simon Auto one is the only option unless you want to research and make bits your self. It is the correct range and function + comes with an adapter.

Thanks.
I replaced that sensor last year. So either its gone dicky or perhaps the connector is not too good.

Do any of the other sensors connect back to this lamp ?
