A few of you know I made the journey down to the famous historic event. I've never been before, but it's one of the last town centre street race tracks in France, Monaco and Pau being the only others I think.
We had a fabulous weekend, a rallye touristique on the Saturday (similar to Macon but at much more relaxed speeds and a fine lunch with no cold meat) and a laid back race day on the Sunday including one for just pre-war Bugattis. The weather was also superb which added to the enjoyment, the clutch failure on my car taking away....
My photos are decidedly average, so I'm attaching links to the official photos here, which I hope will work for those of you facebook.
One of the town squares was given over to an Alpine exhibition, Jean Pierre Jassaud and a couple of other well known names from the past also on hand. The was a USA spec GTA with the pop up headlights and a stunning A106 as you'll see in the photos. Nearby, a broken little Dinalpin which still made it home under it's own power I'm glad to say.
A wonderful laid back event - maybe one for the diary at some point!
