Opps! forgot to update this thread.
I took the car up to RATS, we took the "Ball link" thing off, checked and replaced, and now all if FAB.
Guessing that the lack of use, due to the re-spray, and messing about trying to find reverse, plus the lock-out cable, all added together and caused the issue.
Anyway all seems fine now, even after a good 200 mile run last weekend.
Yes I agree with Mr Dini, this is all part of A610 ownership.... Still love the car tho....
