Which would be your choice ?

Postby clee » Sun Apr 29, 2012 4:20 pm

Or to be blunt ,which would you be happy to spend more of the hard earned on ?

I keep going round the houses on this one but then my expectations differ from most
Given the car is in fine cosmetic order and with fully re-furbed general parts etc .
The options need to be expanded upon so here goes .

OE is self explanatory

Mild is higher lift cam , turbo to suit ,bigger injectors and Renix remap .

Modified .As above ++ ,exhaust headers ,changes to turbo plumbing and starter and standalone management .

There's a lot to be said for this! My car has some head work/turbo/exhaust/injectors and remap and feels so different. Less laggy, more torque and the acceleration feels soooo much better- especially in gear.

Is that you all done voting then ? I thought we had more than 20 active members but then I didn't bother voting yesterday either

Mild it is then ,which in all honesty was my preferred route .There is something to be said for using standalone over Renix though so I will leave that option in .
I can and have used both on test cars ,easy to swap over using std ecu plug and both trigger methods so that is how it'll be .

Rolling road day??

Postby MFaulks » Sat May 05, 2012 2:02 pm

So is it worth trying to organise another Rolling Road test session, Scoffs place? Can we get enough interest and commitment this time, possibly the long bank holiday in June?

We could have Renix upgrades on the day, back to back tests, Lee bashing Adaptronic conversions etc on his plug and play, run-what-ya-brung stuff... try and make some French noise and a bit of smoke
