Well....I sat in my new purchase yesterday, prior to sending off the body panels for painting. What can I say....wedged in like a potato wedge!!
I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I'm thinking of taking yoga classes.....wish I was 18 and thinner again!!!!!

and 3 days later my real 'credit card' style official licence arrives.

If anyone wants a 2006 (last years) Blue Book, let me know.
For sprinting & Hill climbing, section L, there is only 1 change in 2007, "If you do not hold an RTA licence (thats a normal road licence) then you must declare this fact on your event entry form".
There are some other changes in other sections.

I am no longer entering N.Weald on March 18, due to technical delays, but next events will be Lydden near Maidstone on Sat April 7th and Gurston, near Salsbury, on Sat April 21st.

Simon,
I also entered Gurston on the 21st April & 22nd in mod prod (as usual)
I assume that you have entered in either class1- 2 or 3 for road going unless you have now had an appropriate cage fitted? If not I would confirm with your championship sectary to see if you have entered the correct class? So you don't get caught out like some people did at one meeting last year.

I red the regs, so hopefully will not get caught out. I have no cage, so class3 for me, just on Sat 21st April. Pete Ellns will be there too, but not sure which day.
See you on the hill.

Well my season has got going now "NOT" :(
I had to pull out of Sunday’s test day at Gurston last week as the car is not ready due to a few engine problems which in turn set back the general maintenance of the rest of the car.
Hopefully I will be out for the 21st/22nd April at Gurston, but I am still waiting for a couple of parts to arrive so the car can be turned around and the rear half of the car can be serviced.

similair problems at this end, but with help I have got arond them and so am now ready to race.
I'll see you at Gurston on the 21st.
Do you wish to join a few of us at the Prescott event on May 27th? It would be nice to see a race prepared 21t go up the hill, as you know there are plenty of 21 fans out there.

I've just got an email from Stephen about this, but I havn't made a decision yet due to various reason.

My next sprint event is Lydden, this Saturday the 7th April.

for the location, post code is CT4 6RX
DO NOT GO THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF WOTTON, stay on the A2.

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... ight.y=145

see circuit plan at
http://www.lyddenracecircuit.co.uk/map.htm

You just turn right off the A2, there is 1 brown sign that says Lydden Circuit and the gap in the central reservation is small, but I think the next junction is not far away to turn around if you miss it.

the event will start at 7:30 for scruitineering
Practice from 9am, 1 long run followed by 2 timed runs.
I expect it will be fininhed by 12-12:30.
Last time I was there there was no one on the gate first thing, just blag it and mention my name and car number 18.

This event is on the full race circuit,
1 practice of 2.75 laps
followed by 2 timed runs of 1.75 laps.
on the circuit map above we start at point 9 and finish at point 7.

My class includes a Cossie, porker GT3 RS, Evo IX, 2 Scoobies, an M3 and an Audi Quatro. My car is the same spec as last year, so iwill be tough but perhaps a close thing.

Also there are 2 R5Gs and a clio cup car in another class as well as Pete Ellens in his modified A110.

It's a very good spectator circuit with a good view of the track.
Don't forget the sun cream!

Now Alpineless I was at Teesside today in the sun (usual lobster face by the end of the day!!!!). I missed the old GTA, and I reckon I would still have won in it if I'd had it; going on this years times.......but my new steed almost got me FTD.......had to settle for 2nd overall and first in class. I was described as a 'nutter' by the former owner of the car who was watching.....all good!! 8)

Well done Peter,
If this was your first outing in a new car the others better watch out!

I spent most of the day putting mine back together, and now it's back on four wheels all I have to do is drive out of the garage turn it around and start sevicing the back end which shouldn't be to bad as it realy only consist of rear axle and brakes, but that what I thought about the front end until I found the engine problems
