of course......it's only an hour and a half from calais, good idea especially if you need some parts

and while your there you can watch them building clios

but i wouldn't say no to a clio cup engine and box if they have a couple lying around 8)

just had a look at the dates.... 29th Sept looks good..... you can then just carry on to Le Mans for the weekend, once finished in Dieppe seems like a good plan........

tunnel, go out early friday morning......... back late sunday evening....... possible £79 return with club member discount 8)

or just a day trip on the friday for about £35 return with club member discount 8)

for anyone whos going....see you at Le Mans 8)

We went a couple of years back, the driving is more eventful than actually going to the factory. Don't expect any bargains either!

Yes, but the Alpine prices are so astronomical as we know, that even if they give you 50% off, its still expensive!

not really....no more than any other performance car manufacturer. you want to to try and own something that is expensive to run german or italian for example and then have a look in your wallet........

the thing is if you drive a car which is suspect on reliability it will cost you money no matter who's built it..........

Road spider.........one failure since i've had the car........ the temp gauge......£35 for a new VDO one ..... not from alpine though!

the race car is a different story.......just the gearbox..... now that does cost to repair but parts are reasonable as i know someone who has a friend at the Sadev factory now 8)

Your kidding, a friend of mine was grumbling at paying £700 for a new front bumper for his Porsche GT3, thats nothing! ...I rather own a Porsche for parts, everything is still available, cheaper, easier to source...

The problem with Alpine is the silly price hikes. I bought A610 front wings a while back for £190 each, that was the retail, now they are £440 each, so even if you get 50% off at the factory (which you won't) its still more than the previous full retail..

Front indicators were £30, now they are £90...so any discount they give you is pretty academic...

GTA prices are much higher on a lot of items because of the cars rarity not its high performance .I always compare prices with my bro's 928 as its the same year /performance .They produced some 15000 S4s alone in 4 years ,how many GTAs in all :?:

not many..... but the problem is they don't produce alot of the parts anymore.......or have to order a minimum amount to get stock of a part.....

we tried getting them to get some OZ wheels made for the spiders as loads of roadcar owners want them....... Alpine have to order a minimum of 70 sets to get any stock  ....... don't bother me though..... i've got plenty

you want expensive..... i wonder how much this is :?:
