No charge cooler on it when I went to see it and rejected it at £2k. I doubt this trader has done it as he wouldn't cough for a second hand headlamp glass or the rear grill from me.

The same cars seem to go round and round!
From my own experience I'm guessing the clocks ticking till the mot run's out and another can't be issued due to rot

I actually hope it goes for that money. It's ridiculous the way the classic car boom has totally passed these junior supercars by. Even if needs a couple of grand spending on it, what even remotely comparable can you get for the money?

No I know what you are saying and it's been discussed many times before, truth is if it's not a retro VW or Ford then most peeps don't give a damn.

Going back to the car in question what I said originally is that I would much prefer an enthusiast bought it as a running project and came on here for help and parts etc rather than every cheap GTA getting passed from Trader to Trader so no one benefits including the car. Not many step up to the plate though.

The best things about these Alpines is driving and enjoying them as well as seeing them on the road. I do also hope it sells so it can get some love and attention, fingers crossed.

£3 to £5k needed on an average GTA that has has no real love for a while ...paint,wheels and tuning bling still sell ....£8 to £15k on 610,excluding any engine work or tune .
We have restored maybe 10 A610 and 15/20 gta in the last 4/5 years, enough to be firm on prices for most jobs,rust busting,refurb gear and engine builds .
I think now though the restored cars will demand a lot more than £6k ....and so they should... but still... as far as Ebay etc goes,if it's not been through RATS or is a genuine minty one then £3/4k with that again to spend on getting it roadworthy ( note,not talking just MOT'd.....roadworthy.... )

Other restorations are available but I'll take the Pepsi challenge with any of them as far as being thorough on the main issues with these cars .

I'll have you know that was Halfords finest Satin Black, painted by me about 9 years ago!
It needed a lot of work back then, and nothing much has been done to it since I sold it. for £2K about 7 years ago.

It will need a complete rebuild and paint as the red doesn't match exactly. Sad to see it in this state, but at that price you'd have to be brave to take it on.
