My a610 seams to be running 270bhp with 1.2 bar of boost and decat and exhaust system with nothing else, so I bet yours may be around 280 to 290.
A610, Venturi 300, Lotus Carlton, R129 SL60 AMG , 996 Turbo, Range Rover Classic 1994, TR7 V8 Rally Car, TR7 sprint Race car for sale, BMW 850 CSI. BMW GS1200 bike, Where's has all my time gone.

Out of a 12v engine max 330/350 with a lot of head work and all the rest, the combustion chamber designe and spark location is crap, the prv 24v has central plug and better combustion chamber but the rocker and cam and oil supply design is crap. Can’t win but 400/500 with work and modern turbo / Ecu hopefully. :yawn

Dave Miles and myself both run effectively A610 engines in our GTAs, Daves car runs twin turbos and makes about 310 bhp at a bar, mine on a big single needed a couple of pounds more boost to make the same power, both with custom charge cooling , injectors, and aftermarket ECUs. Turbo will be most restrictive thing but I think you would make more than 270 bhp on EFis rolling road if you ran 1.3 bar or so , 280 ish I reckon. On the test day last year there were a couple of slightly tweaked A610s making 260bhp, yours should be capable of a bit more than that. What rollers is it going on some makes generally give higher outputs than others. Gearbox good for 350 ft/lbs if driven sympathetically. Internals good for at least that.

Thanks all! I'll report back on Friday evening. Not sure if the car will get on the rollers but I am taking the car to the tuning company for a check over. I'm hoping they'll say it's ok and start with the tuning!

It's a Dyno Dynamics dyno.

Good luck!!

Don't listen to Tony ...he says that about rollers when he don't like the outcome :MoreSarc ;)

Key is consistency....get a good tuner that you trust and keep going back. That way at least you'll know whether what you're doing is making it better or worse.BHP is just a number...but then so is weight... :D

It's how fast it goes that matters at the end of the day surely :0). It's not the outcome I don't like , just can't compare cars off different rollers as can be quite big percentage difference. If it's DD it should be broadly comparable to EFi's rollers. And you can have a inferior power to weight ratio and still be quicker if the power band is rubbish.

Seen seen ...I have the least of both but still second fastest :thinking ...I reckon if I'd not had that fry-up and/or taken a dump Ratty would have won the day at Brunt :silent
+ You can also have a superior ptw and lose because you lunch yer gearbox every time you throttle it :silent :wave

There isn't a fund for a proper porker 'box :0). I think the strengthened 'box will be fine as long as I don't got to silly launching it, the cam fitted moves the power up the band a bit so that initial torque won't be quite as brutal. Launching an aspirated car is less severe than a turbo car as you don't need to keep it on boost. I'm not expecting much better than the mid 4's 0-60 but from 20-100 it's going to decimate supercars :0). Will have a better torque to weight than a McClaren 540C.

Surely you can only lunch your gearbox the first time you throttle it? :0).
