Maybe...things have progressed quite far now, and its all about setup, and even though a carb is basic compared to efi, they can get a 'safer' setup by excess fuel dumping. The fastest GT turbo is running nearly 40psi on standard liners and the bottom end is the same as the T2.
Apart from the head is everything the same? its really strange this 15 psi life or death thing and its younger brother(GTT) is fine(ish)
