Might be interested with the Cup Car this year?

Is the DB limit still really low ~95? :toilet

As well as the static test, there is a fly by test too.

It is possible to help yourself be less noisy.

For the Static test you can try the following:
Make sure the car is warm, there is less engine noise.
Make sure there is nothing behind the noise test meter by 10 meters, lessens sounds that is rebounded back towards meter.
Dip the clutch, gear box should be quieter if transmission is not whizzing around.
Dont exaggerate how high your engine revs to, because they measure related to max revs.
Turn off all fans and anything that makes noise, the radio, the aircon (adds load to engine) etc.
Lift off gently after the test, it could pop or bang and trigger noise meter.

For the fly by tests,
Drive the other side of circuit further away from noise meter,
Use a higher gear for passing by, change up before hand.

If you are over by a little, DONT ARGUE, Goodwood is a gentleman's venue, tell the scrutineer you appreciate his measurement and that you will do something to lesson the noise, they will give you a chance to make mods and measure you again.

If you can, put a bigger silencer on for the day, I hope mine will work this year :-)

Definitely be polite. They have been known to allow cars that are a little over to run if the rest of the session is below the average noise limit.

They were extremely lenient with me last year (mine was WAY over) as long as I stopped accelerating past the noise mics on circuit. This I tried to do as much as possible but it does spoil a good flat out run...

If you have three apples, seven oranges and a kumquat traveling at 50mph then how long will it take to get from Bristol to a fruit salad ?

I will be there, 2 weeks before "RACING", not just the circuit plodding around aimlessly.

Ticket logic:

1× car... car, entry, track time ticket - ok
1x passenger entry for said car - ok
1x additional driver pass (for said passenger) - ok

so doing fine so far, got the car, and two pees with passes and track time, simples... then...

1x support car, and entry - ok, still looking good...
1x additional driver ticket - NOT allowed why? ie 1 car, and potential for 3 people to drive is not allowed why?

How then do I satisfy this order?

Thanks,
Martin

Simple, fair use policy.

Last year was slots. So multiple drivers for one car made no difference to timetables or time on track for one car.

This year is open pit lane so multiple drivers (more than 2) per car is not fair use (to others) as next driver could just rejoin queue.

In fact this year second driver option is already outstanding value as a result.
