This one's on the Bay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-RENAULT- ... SwezVW0XoN

The Reg E111SPW rings a bell but I don't know why (yes age is probably the main reason)! :thinking

OMG! In over 10 years looking for Alpines on ebay this is the first A108 I have seen! I bet his inbox this morning (it was a £500 start auction) was full of "will ya take a grand for it Mister?"

It's the one that was in Chris Rabbets yard for 10+ years.
The owner has decided he has too many other things on the go and won't get around to sorting it out...

It's extremely rare to see these for sale, full stop.

I thought I had recognised it, cheers for confirming Andy. Wonder what it will fetch, £10k maybe?

I think I've spotted a few paint imperfections on this one, and I don't think that model should have the moss green carpets, also I think there may be a bit of chassis rust. :angel
These have been worth money for a long while, whoever has left it in the elements for at least the last twenty years needs his bumps feelin'
It should fetch big money, there's not much to 'em, so what has rotted away could be made easy peasy, some Dauphine mechanics to take it back to standard and there you go, wouldn't trust that shell holding on to coat of expensive paint though, think you'd be into laying on top, even then I'd be twitchin' like a fox's asp for couple of years................... :hang

I would expect it to reach somewhere in that region... maybe a little over.

Probably, and you probably get a little change too, but probably not much.

Any decent garage and most competent mechanics could restore most of an A108 but there's be a few A108 specific bits that could take a lot of time to source. I don't know if anyone's making new chassis for them (but someone will if you pay them enough)however lots of the Dauphine/4CV/Floride stuff is now being re-manufactured and it's amazing what turns up in continental autojumbles. You'd need lots of research for bits plus loads of time and space to do a decent job of it.
I certainly couldn't do it! :(

The GT4 style is a little ungainly, especially compared to the Berlinette.
