Shame nobody onhere knows anything about tyres and wheels
My new downrated springs arrived the day before yesterday so that evevning it was on with the rears and yeaterday I tackled the fronts. Both were wasy jobs. The replacements I had fitted by Clee with the new shocks were 500lb 8.5" rears and 400lb 8" fronts but for me on the road the ride was too harsh but probably better suited to track or a porky A610
the new compromise was uprated over standard at 400lb 10" rears (the 8.5" were adjusted within an inch of the top of the damper body so these are much better) and 300ld 9" fronts which I was a little concerned would be too long however have fitted fine. Been out a couple of times and for a short run and it's so much better now as the damping is able to do its job properly.
I found with the fronts I could change the springs without removing the shock absorber by detatching the ARB and the top trailing arm, allowing the suspension to drop and the shock to pull outwards for spring removal.
Many thanks to PaulyA610 for supplying all the dampers and springs without fuss.
Trevor.
