This must have been one of the most enjoyable and exciting sprints for years. 9 in class, we (well Riku) was leading until they added a 3rd timed run..... Got beaten by a hard driven 205 but we beat the £100k escort into second place so left happy!
Non other than Le mans Legend Hugh Chamberlain was on start line duty... we were not worthy!

thanks to Simon G and Mitchell Perry for coming along giving support, a great day,

Simon, as was explained to me in no uncertain terms by a MSA official at Rockingham a couple of years ago after I complained about the "adding" of a 3rd timed run, they can "add" as many timed runs as they jolly well like as long as all the competitors will be able to set a time before any curfew. Most SR's allow for this eg:

After the completion of practice, the first timed competition run will start.
After a 1-hour lunch, the second and third timed competition runs will start.
There may be further timed runs, which will not be scored if any drivers are unable to finish before 17:00 hours.

Hence it was even possible that a 4th time run could have been "added"

The reason I mentioned the word "add" was due to they had informed us that if they could not start the 3rd run before 15.30, then it is possible that not all cars would have had a chance to compete and therefore, despite being classed as a "timed" run, it would not count towards the events results. In the case on Sunday, the 3rd run started at 15.40 roughly so it was touch and go if all would get a run or not, in the event the runs were trouble free and there was no overrun.

Point is though, timed runs can be added.
