sure do- oddly my favourite picture of my 610...macon 2009....you need heavy duty trailers for lard ball A610's...mind you they are still fast(er) than std GTA's. I believe a 610 is usually the quickest Alpine in sprints too (certainly not me though).

Sound isn't great on this PC, but what I can hear sounds clank and tappet free- well done...what was the gauge- oil pressure?
Are you going to risk a WSR run? 78 miles, 1hr 20 each way, nice gentle run down the M1...ideal for running in a new engine...

It's so nice seeing it back in (almost) one piece. :)

I think the alternator belt (and alternator) are non-standard... can't remember the details any more. Maybe off a Trafic or similar.

Have you had it running long enough for the rad fans to come on? I'm really hoping we'll see the temperature stop at halfway on the gauge rather than hovering around 3/4+ like it was... guess it needs to go out for a proper run to be sure.

Wheels back on Monday ....they are only next-door but still in primer this afternoon .
I'm off on holiday till next Friday so not going to get chance to give it hard miles 'til I get back ...and TBH don't really want to before setting off for a relax :wink:
Oil pressure gauge yes .It is reading a bit high but has got 15-40 mineral in at the moment and not done any miles .
Water system is back to std ,rad is running free it seems and no obvious problems ..matrix pipes are getting hot as are the mains .They need to be driven to test though ,can't get enough temp sitting in the garage .

Suspension will also need set-up .Fronts I'm worried will sit too high but until it is back on the ground I won't know .All set at mid limit to start .

I jiggered the rad fan wiring to come on full on the first setting. If you haven't already, to reset, just pull out the wiring I did and put two relays in the sockets.

Lump run in with low/no boost .
Stays cool ,fans cut in when they should etc 8)
Time to check bolts ,compression and hook up the blower :twisted:
Sits a bit high up front ,needs winding down 10 mil or so .

And now finally home from the nest! Still sits high at the front with the shocks wound right down; I may need to invest in some lowering springs. Had an enjoyable drive back, it runs perfectly, everything behaving itself. Took me a few minutes to remember how to drive something which can actually go, stop and turn properly.

Yes you need lowering sprints on the front as the platform on the original damper is already at the bottom and the adjustable platform is bigger so no room for movement whereas on the rear there is a huge amount of adjustment. Otherwise it will sit slightly too high at the front as you may have noticed!

You can only really use the original front springs on the non-adjustable height version.

Summary:

Adjustable Platform Dampers:

Front: Standard Spring NO Short spring YES
Rear: Standard Spring YES Short spring YES but un-necessary.

Fixed platform Dampers

Front: Standard Spring YES Short spring YES but be careful of amount
Rear: Standard Spring YES Short spring YES but be careful of amount

True for GTA & A610 with SPAX Dampers.
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart

doh !!
You could have told me that before I pissed about trying to get it lower Dingle .
Needs to come down about an inch I think .Rob will have to get some springs then or a grinder :twisted: Give Pauly a shout for some springs .
