Ah. Hipsters eh, forgot about them. What a waste, it'll be dishing out retro jellied eels before you know it.

These are getting common over here now, I guess the strong pound helps.
There is one and a h van parked outside cambridge station, but they don't move.

I've seen this van before at a epoq auto in lyon, pity someone is going to convert it to chip van but it's been the same for citroens too theres been loads sold into uk for scran van conversions lately, there even a morris minor traveller pops up now and again near us by the lake and sells freshly squeezed orange juice.....

I know of a "barn find" condition estafette for sale near Orleans in France, its been sat outside a garage for a couple of years now, and is for sale, i'll get some details if anyone is interested plus Mr D loves a project.....

Quite right about the date. Must have been confusing it with RATS open day.

Hi All :D
I'm the trendie who purchased this Estafeette, and can promise you I have never had a moustache nor do I live in Shoreditch!

Having owned a 1970's Beetle and a family MG bgt, I am more that a wear of the pitfalls and joys of vintage car ownership and was keen to own Estafette, especially one with such history.

Thankfully after a week scrumming it in my carpark, I have moved him to dry, secure storage and plan to fully restore him, all be it with a tastefully inserted serving hatch and fully equipped kitchen in the back. I know this may be sacrilege to some, but he is a working vehicle and with some love and attention i am determine to keep him that way. Although i agree it is going to be a shame to respray him.

Thought i would share some images of his past life, judging by the condition the club took amazingly good care of him.

oh yeah... he's not for sale :axe

Great little van. Sold for £5200 on the hammer so £6k with buyers fees. Got talking to the new owner and he was a auction regular who owns many vintage vehicles (Bentleys etc). He was actually planning on buying the VW camper but thought it wasn't very good, rusty and not as good as a one owner low mileage car should be. He fell for the Renault and loved both the styling and the outstanding condition and thought it was a great buy for a bit of fun despite not being a 'Renault man'.

That looks very nice condition and I'm growing more and more fond of these vans especially with club related signwriting. All we need to find now is one with Venturi on it.....

Renault Sport Clio 197 - Ultra Red

Looks proper solid underneath. So are you planning to keep all the original Renault Alpine decals? It will look fantastic if you are at motor sport events etc.
