2018 Events

Postby pgoldsmith » Tue Jan 23, 2018 10:53 pm

It would be really useful to have a definative list of this year's 2018 events in one list.
I know these have, in the past, been shown on RAOC calendars, but it will good to have them posted on the forum.

More advance notice of events may encourage more of us to turn up.

Feel free to move this post to another section if required.

April 20 - 21
THE GREAT ALPINE ROAD TOUR - AUSTRALIA
This is more for the information of Alpine owners...
....but...if you want to join in you have almost three months...
and you are definitely most welcome!

The "Great Alpine Road" is in north east Victoria running from
Wangaratta to Bairnsdale. Let Google be your guide.
Wineries, historic towns and some great "Alpine" roads.
We are running a non - competitive social event around the
"Three Peaks" Mount Hotham, Mount Buffalo and Falls Creek.
Great twisting roads and scenery.

Keep up to date with the Aussie Frogs website which has a
thread on this event.

Cheers, Steve.

As always Martin it will depend on footballing commitments - it's FA Cup Semifinal weekend, but if I can I will be there

A long way ahead, but I have registered for infield parking space at the Oulton Park Gold Cup over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. We did this last year, as a very last minute joint RAOC/ROC thing, and seemed to be enjoyed by everyone. This year the booking process appears to be a bit more complex & you need to register and send details/photo of your car, but it's still free entry for the driver - passengers need to pay normal ticket price - and with a lot more time I hope to see a few more cars there. You will need to register under ROC, sorry, it wasn't possible to register 2 clubs jointly, but you are all welcome

Hi Stephen, not sure if I can go to Prescott myself this year, so was relying on you to do the organising and leaving the ROC out of it, but yes I am happy to promote La Vie via ROC media, and co-ordinate the discount ticket details if that will help. Feel free to give me a call if you want to discuss any finer details

Can I also point you in the direction of http://www.renaultownersclub.com/events ? Some events you need to be a ROC member for insurance purposes, eg club stand at shows, but others like Donington & Oulton Park are not a problem. I think CAR are doing Donington, but if you want to come in a non-Alpine, you would be welcome to book through us, if you are not going to Macon of course
