I too "might" be there, but unfortunately in a high performance luxury motor. Well for a big barge it is quite quick.
I'll have a camera too!
Any one know if dogs are allowed in ?

Hi Simon,
Why are you bringing the Lexus? GTA needing a rest after all the flying last week?

I've seen two and a dog all fitting in a GTA before- and not just in a pub car park after closing either.

See some of you Sunday unless it snows

Change of plan- decided its just too risky today in the Alp.
I started off (from London)- terrible conditions- ungritted roads, M25 was terrible- stationary traffic due to lorries sliding and getting stuck on slight gradients, average speed of 25 with further snow falling- and more importantly lots of people who don't know how to drive in snow. (tailgating, sliding due to too much throttle etc etc). Decided to go back to where I'd started. Got there OK but 1 1/2 hours for 35 miles covered. Lots of accidents seen.
I also discovered that the wipers are great for creating you very own snowman on the bonnet (over the washers of course) and that it takes a long time for the heater to win the battle against misting up.
Definitely sonly suitable for Alpine conditions in in the Summer

Did anyone make it?

As you say a really amazing effort- I was complaining that the heater wasn't coping- makes you feel such a wimp!
BTW- what time does it open- the cafe website says 9am, but it looks like it was much earlier than that if people were leaving at 9. Website isn't much use on this point.

Cheers
Lee
(now back in snow free Essex with intact alp- even had it on boost on the way back, off boost was too powerful this morning in less than third to hill start on M25 )
