Next event is next Saturday, the 18th, on the Stowe circuit at Silverstone. It is a 2 lapper. At this point in time, I am reserve no 4, so I will only know a couple of days before if I will be running or not.
Again, Tim Jefferies is competing in his A610, there is a Clio, 2 5GTTs and the normal suspects too.
This sprint meeting will share the Stowe circuit with some circuit racers from the Classic Touring series CTCRC http://www.classictouringcars.com/ and the Motorsport Acadamy of SIlverstone (I think this is Caterhams driven by chaps who think they are quicker than Lewis Hamilton, should be entertaining, fast and close).
On the National circuit, the 750 Motor Club are hosting a full set of races for all of their formula. http://www.750mc.co.uk/
This event is entry by ticket only, and I have 4 tickets up for grabs as part of my entry fee, £5 each (just to subsidise part of my sprinting costs), PM me and I'll post them to you.

As for my championship status, I'll probably regret this ... ... ..., I'm leading the class by 15 points and 4th overall from 50 drivers.
fyi, 1st=18pts, 2nd=16pts 3rd=15pts etc etc.

After Silverstone, just Loton Park and Lydden Circuit. Lydden will be my 11th Event.

And there is not much interest in these tickets so far, they need a home or they just get wasted, slashed to £1 each now, including first class postage and packaging.

Oh well, as you can imagine, Silverstone was looking wet so we had to make a sh1t or bust attack on the first run, because the clouds were getting darker and the rain was coming. After a good start and first lap, with my foot to the floor whilst coming out of the north turn the rear end decided to loosen up and I had a big fishtail moment, swiped a cone and launched it into orbit but managed to stay on the main runway, not too hard as it is about 40 meters wide. Anyway a third in class so not too bad.

Last weekend was a visit with Pete Ellens to Bourg-en-Bresse and the Villereversure hillclimb as suggested by Andy Holt. A long 3km climb and the scenery was very spectacular. 103 cars booked in, mostly Alpines, a few 911s and some retro Escorts, Stig Bloumfhists Cossie, Opel GTEs and of course a beer tent. Typical French organisation, relaxed and laid back, and passengers were allowed too. In the afternoon the whole village came out to watch and the weather was fantastic too.

We won some trophies, the raffle and the oggled all the local birds. A great weekend, good food, good wine, plenty to see and a great hill.
See some selected pics here.

might go back next year, here is Andys in car video clip.

look again, ... ... ...
and closer at shots 219 and 220, Pete said he was takeing shots of me asleep at the wheel and the detail of my seductive roof ????
And the bloke in 219 with the red thing on his shoulder has noticed too.
Miss polka dot 'en bleu'!
Well worth zooming in for.
and Pete caught me with an old mouse in the hotel too(231), he was not jealous, he said it looked like his ex-wife.

This Sunday Pete Ellens and I are Spinting at Eelmoor, Farnborough Hants. Starts at 9 should be done by 4. It is an MOD driving centre and some roads are used to make a little circuit, it's small and will undoubtedly suit the small cars.

Officially a non spectator event, but there is spectator areas and no entry fee. PM me your email and I will foreard a map and entry list.

Saturday October 6th will be the last of the season, a sprint at Lydden Hill, with a few RAOC members taking their cars for a blast too. More details will follow next week.

Pete and I did pretty well at Eelmoor today.

Pete took a 3rd in class beating some RS2000 escorts and I took a 2nd in Class, just piped by 0.3 secs on the last run by a 420 TVR, but I did beat the Ferrari 308.

Dave Miles came along to watch, he has some footage and if his technology skills are up to it, he may share it with us all. Some of it shows how powerfull the GTA brakes can be !!! If only I could harness them at the right moment !!!

Last event for me this year will be a sprint down at Lydden next Saturday, the 6th October, when SImon Gamblen and Tont Smith will also be competing. It is a morning event and there will some circuit racing in the afternoon too. I have some spare tickets, pm me and I can post them to you.
