That just keeps the simpletons from paying what a car is actually worth.
No one serious would let that stop them buying a good car.
Even the DVLA realise it was a dumb idea and are either changing it dramatically or getting rid of that system (I haven't seen any announcements but they will probably drop it entirely).

Hell, some of the blower Bentleys and Jag D Types are cars that had accidents where they looked like they had been run over by a steam roller and they're rebuilt from just a rear valance, but it doesn't stop wise people actually looking to see if they were re-built/repairer correctly = worth buying. The classic car movement would have less than 25% of the cars it now has, if anyone took notice of the CAT system.

Has there been any contact from the new owner, or is it now just parked up as an investment purchase.

WWOOOOOO bitchy!! How do you know your own car was not involved in an accident not reported to an insurance company and repaired in a back street garage? because I have one of those, the GTA I am scrapping hit a telegraph pole and was never reported. Bent chassis legs etc, I could have bodge it ( with the help of MVS GTA breaker parts ) and sold it for £7k, with a lovely gleaming red paintwork, nobody would never have known the difference. Mr Rowan Atkinson smashed his McLaren to pieces, it was rebuilt and sold for millions. My 610 had a light stupid impact on the nose and one front wing, did not even touch the front bumper, previous owner did not care, he just wanted paying out, hence why it was recorded, did the car deserved to be scrapped? hell no!!
I agree with Alpineandy as it is a stupid system, an insurance company can rebuild and nothing goes against it, but a private person can spend a fortune fixing it, in some occasions better than the insurance company ( We all remember the red Venturi 400GT ) but the recorded part will always stay with the car. I would not have spent a fortune on it if the car was bent, trust me, but it was far better condition than the previous three 610's I went to see before I made my mind up to buy this one.

Anyway, I want a Cat C Noble, anybody knows where I can find one?

Easy tiger ...
Wasn't being bitchy - honest.
Was a straightforward question as I did not know.
Delighted that you got such a good price as you have spent a lot of time and money on that car.
For the record, I am in the process of restoring a Cat D Range Rover ..

I thought I should post here for the record. I bought Phildini's black A610. The eBay buyer never materialised so he offered it to me as we've known each other a long time!

I even bought my EBS R5 GT Turbo Cabriolet from Phildini too, so I have two of his old cars!
