GOODWOOD TICKETS FOR SALE

Postby Mr Jon » Thu Jun 23, 2005 7:45 pm

Two tickets for the Goodwood Festival of Speed this sunday for sale.

My mate has just told me he has already got me free tickets so mine are up for grabs if anyone is interested.

Will be open to offers, would rather they were used than put in the bin!

Or try a one day auction on ebay! Collection only.

You've still got time, just!

If all else fails, you might be ale to sell them on the day at the gate, bound to be some plonkers turn up without.
Or if you are coming to Rockingham on Saturday, try selling them there.

Oh, sorry, missed you rupert, I'm glad I did not go on the w/e, it was busy enough on the Fraiday.
FANTASTIC day out, will be attemping to be there next year, but a bit more prepared. Did you get soaked too. My mate had one of those plastic ponchos, very un-fashionable but completely practicle.
I'll have one soon too.

left just as it started to rain...

Think I may have followed you out two years ago...? Actually no, you didn't have the car then.

Saw Geoffs (A610GA) Rover P5 on show... very shiny!

What a superb weekend Goodwood is. I was there on Friday (got soaked) and Sunday (got sunburnt) but I forgive these minor problems. It is just impossible to see and do everything in two days. I think Goodwood is the best run and organised motor event there is. Silverstone should try and catch up a bit. The Alpines looked good and went well. 8)

Geoff, you would have hated Rockingham, organisation was "less than perfect" as was the sunshine, but hey it was the first UK GTbattle and those D1 drivers from Japan put on a good show. Great venue.

Yep, it was an excellent event. In the end I went on both Saturday and Sunday. Looking very red as it was very hot yesterday!

If I win the lottery I'm buying an Invicta, never heard anything like it, what a machine...

I wanted about 25% of what went up the track but in the end I think I want the Bugatti Type 57C (Had a chat to the owner, he just paid $1,800,000 for it in auction) but might have to put up with my A610 instead. Still the real world is ok most of the time. My sunburn is really sore today! No complaints though. 8)

Just to rub things in, it was so hot in Cumbria (officially Englands wettest county!) that I got minor sunburn after sitting out fo an hour!! :D
Would love to go to Goodwood one of these years. Were any of the F1 cars actually trying to go fast up the hill or were they bottling it, doing wheelspins and p*ssing about?

Loads of cars were really going for it but then again some of the drivers would have been best going up there in their auto Ford Focus. The 2 Honda Williams were like Sunday drivers but then again that is kinda what they were, it being Sunday! Worth spending £500,000 to get a non road usable car and drive it like a woose when you do get on a track. Still it takes all sorts! Such an elite event yet so non elititist. I think car nuts must be the least class conscious of them all and long may it be so. All car nuts should do Goodwood though! So next year!!!!!! 8)
