2,700 Mile A610

Postby Bullrunner » Mon Jun 08, 2015 3:21 pm

Hi Guys, Im new to the forum and signed up as I have the chance to buy a very very nice UK Right Hand Drive A610. The car in question was manufactured in 1992 and was not registered until mid 2001.

It has only has 2,700 miles on it (Genuine) and has only done 2 miles since its last MOT. Full dealer history and looked after meticulously as it belonged to someone within the higher echelons of Renault...... I know the car very well so I'm not after its provenance more a case of what you knowledgeable chaps think its worth??

The car is spot on in every way, and anything it's needed it has had !!! So guys what do we think??? :super

That would be the Renault Cannock car.

Gun to my head for an answer I would say £20k

Out of interest has always been flat red? It's the first ever RHD car I believe so could have been. There should be a paint code badge under the Bonnet.

Get it bought and for gods sake use it a little bit for what it was intended for, in particular bring it to some events so we can drool over it.

To be honest, if you could get the car for £20k, I'd snap his hand off. Whatever it's worth, it's just a shame to see this unique A610 not actually ever being used.

I know the car very well as I 've lived 5 miles down the road from it for most of my life.......when it was stored in Renault wolves and then onto Cannock when they opened the showroom there

it's worth...... whatever you can agree to get it for......... the only miles it has really ever done is showroom to MOT station and back, its definitely a museum piece...... I've asked and many other too in the past have tried to buy it without success as the owner didn't want to sell...... I bet dellboy is outside the showroom right now waiting for the doors to open with a fistful of cash in his grubby mit!

good luck with buying it!

Nice car and always flat red although I understand it has been fully resprayed.

I first saw it in the back of Renault Wolverhampton looking very sorry for itself.

Shortly afterwards it appeared in the Renault Cannock showroom.

Worth what someone will pay. Probably £20k +

Excellent news!

Can we presume that you may actually use the car from time to time like it's maker intended? Rather than protect that very low mileage. If it's any comfort, there are many A610's which have done comfortably in excess of 100k miles.

Whereabouts are you. And why an A610 when clearly you have had and have got some interesting machine's at your disposal?

Welcome to the Club anyway and don't forget to join the RAOC

Thanks for the warm welcome.....the car will be used on high days and sunny days.... And im based in Shropshire for anyone that wants to pop and see it.

And the reason I've bought it is that I have known the owner of this particular car since I was a child...and I always recall vividly the first time that I saw and was driven in his LE mans GTA...I was hooked .....fortunately being a Renault MD he added an A610 to his personal collection....the first time I set eyes on it I told him that one day I would own it.....so I've spent the last 10 years talking him into letting me have it....... It's differnt to the cars I currently have and have had.....but that's the appeal no one really knows what it is so no body hangs a label on you !!!!

It really is a spot on car in every way !!!!! I am a very lucky lucky guy :pint

Another low mileage 610 :) why do people keep hiding them away and not using them, they are as bad as GTA owners :)

Is that the Singapore import car?
That had that kind of mileage and was that colour...I notice it doesn't have a radio either...

You know the saying if you don't use it you lose it. I would be very careful when you start to use the car, I have bought many low mileage bikes and cars which have been stored. And eventually have had to rebuild everyone of them. As every oil seal Will have gone hard, along with all the heating and cooling system, I now price that in if I'm going to buy Low mileage vehicles,I hope you managed to get it for the right price. :Cheer
