Air vents?

From what I can see without taking them off the air vents next to the side windows appear to be decorative. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm lead to beleive that the 2 vents nearest the windows blow air at the temp controlled by the slider between the seats however the 2 middle vents will only ever blow cold air.

I think Peter means the slated vents on the rear side glass on the engine bay.These I think take air down in between the inner and outer rear skins as there are air holes/pipes to the air filter box& alternator for cooling

Those are the ones Clee......I may need to investigate further....from an initial look they dont appear to send the air anywhere, but then I havent had a good look yet.

Ahhhhhhhh.
I think the o/s one feeds the air filter and the alternator, while the n/s one brings air into the engine bay up in the corner behind the turbo fan and diagnostic socket.
